20-year-old apprentice lineman dies following accident, city officials say

ALBANY, Ga. (WALB/Gray News) — An apprentice lineman has died following an accident this week in Georgia.
Albany city officials confirmed the death of 20-year-old Caiden Gibson.
The city did not share any further immediate information on how Gibson died, but said they are investigating the accident.
Gibson had started working with the city of Albany’s Utility Operations Department in September 2024.
Loved ones described him as a dedicated worker, father and friend. They have also started a GoFundMe in his honor for donations to assist the Gibson family.
