17-year-old injured after shooting in Hinesville, suspect in custody
HINESVILLE, Ga. (WTOC) - [UPDATE] On Dec. 9 WTOC reached out to the Chief of Hinesville Police, Tracey Howard for an update on the condition of the victim.
Chief Howard told us that as of last Thursday, Dec. 4, the victim was still in the hospital. He also told us Adrian Perry is the suspect and is being held at Liberty County Jail and the weapon has been recovered.

[ORIGINAL STORY] Officers from the Hinesville Police Department responded to a report of a shooting in the 800 block of Bacon Road Friday.

Upon arrival, officers found the victim, Kymonie Matthew, who was shot.
Emergency responders provided immediate aid, and Matthew was then airlifted to a local hospital for advanced treatment.
Hours later the Hinesville Police Department Detective Division announced that they’d arrested the suspect.
Detectives say they followed multiple leads, which ultimately resulted in Adrian Perry, 20, of Hinesville, turning himself in to law enforcement.

Perry is charged with 4 counts of aggravated assault, and the offense of drive-by shooting. His bond has been denied.
