15-year-old boy indicted on malice, felony murder after stabbing his mother in June
CHATHAM COUNTY, Ga. (WTOC) - [UPDATE as of 9/29/25] 15-year-old Bowen Bray was indicted on malice murder, felony murder and aggravated assault after stabbing his mother to death back in June.
The District Attorney’s Office confirmed to us that Bray is being charged as an adult.
At about 10:15 p.m. on June 29, officers were sent to a home on the 100 block of Berwick Lakes Boulevard where they found a 45-year-old woman suffering from multiple stab wounds.
She died as a result of those injuries.
Officers then arrested the woman’s 15-year-old son at the scene and charged him with murder.
[ORIGINAL STORY] The Chatham County Police Department is investigating after a 15-year-old was charged for the murder of his mother on Sunday night.

The 15-year-old is being held in the Regional Youth Detention Center.
