13-year-old reported runaway found safe, says Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office

HILTON HEAD, S.C. (WTOC) - [UPDATE] The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office said the 13-year-old was found safe.

[ORIGINAL STORY] The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help locating a reported runaway juvenile, 13-year-old Santiago Emilio Ramirez of Hilton Head Island.

Law enforcement said Ramirez was last seen at approximately 10:55 a.m. Monday morning, leaving his apartment at Hilton Head Gardens on foot. According to the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office, he was wearing a black hoodie and gray pants.

He is described as having black shoulder-length hair and brown eyes.

Deputies are working to locate Ramirez and are asking anyone with information regarding his whereabouts to come forward.
