‘Miracle’: Child escapes serious injury after being thrown from truck in crash caught on camera

ATLANTA (ANF/Gray News) — Georgia authorities are calling it “a miracle” that a child suffered only minor injuries after being thrown from a vehicle during a crash.
The Gwinnett County Police Department shared a video of a May 23 collision in which two vehicles struck a patrol vehicle at an intersection.
In the dashcam video, the child is seen being thrown from one of the pickup trucks involved, landing on the patrol vehicle’s hood.
The child escaped major injury, according to first responders. Gwinnett County officers said it proves the importance of seat belts and child safety seats.
There was no word on what caused the crash or whether any drivers were cited.
