HILTON HEAD, SC. (WTOC) - Shore Beach Service on Hilton Head advised beachgoers to stay out of the water for the next two days.

“@nws has issued advisories for both a high risk of rip currents and high surf for the next 2 days. Beachgoers are urged to stay out of the water,” wrote Shore Beach Service in a social media post.

They said while conditions may look calm, they saw numerous flash rips Monday.

“1 rescue was required before we started advising people to stay in ankle deep water. The next 2 day are forecasted to be much more dangerous, so please be safe,” continued Shore Beach Service.
