‘No credible threat’: Bryan County School District responds to reports of increased police presence
RICHMOND HILL, Ga. (WTOC) - [UPDATE 2:18 p.m.] A message from the school district has just been sent to parents. It reads “There is no credible threat at any Bryan County School at this time. We apologize for any misinformation you may have received (social media, news agencies, etc.).”
WTOC has also observed multiple police vehicles leaving the area.
[ORIGINAL STORY] The Richmond Hill Police Department has confirmed to WTOC that they are increasing police presence at various schools in the area due to “multiple threats.”
Officials say nothing is confirmed at this time, but there will be a larger police presence at the schools in the area.
WTOC is in contact with the Richmond Hill Police and is on the way to the area. We have also reached out to the school district. This article will be updated as more information becomes available.
